Seasonal Customer Service Representative, Propane and Water Services

The Seasonal Customer Service Representative works onsite in Fairbury, IL. Compensation is $18–$21 per hour. DCC Propane serves residential, agricultural, commercial, and industrial customers with propane and water-conditioning services. The representative is a primary customer contact and liaison to the service team, helping resolve inquiries and coordinate safe, timely responses to gas or water service needs. The role also supports account transactions, records, inventory, and office tasks so customer requests and service operations are handled accurately.

What you'll do

• Provide customer service by phone and in person
• resolve or escalate inquiries and complaints
• process counter transactions and payments
• update customer records and accounts
• assist with billing inquiries or light collections as assigned
• coordinate gas or water service requests and determine whether requests fall within company scope
• manage parts inventory
• submit accurate paperwork
• attend safety meetings and training
• maintain confidentiality and regular worksite attendance.
