Job overview

The Line Cook role is onsite in Chicago, IL; compensation is $18–$22 per hour. Happy Camper is a high-volume restaurant and pizzeria, and the role supports its kitchen service and hospitality operations. The cook prepares menu items consistently, maintains food quality and presentation, and helps keep kitchen operations efficient and sanitary. The position also supports station setup, stocking, food safety, and teamwork during service.

What you'll do

• Prepare food to recipe, production, and portion standards
• check recipe cards and food-use records
• set up the line and prepare items ahead according to estimated needs
• date and rotate food and maintain proper temperatures
• monitor stock and shortages
• maintain consistency, quality, and presentation
• follow food safety and sanitation requirements
• clean workstations and assist with plating, stocking, and kitchen upkeep
• support other cooks during rush periods and follow the Chef’s instructions.
