Heavy Civil Construction Project Manager, Underground Utilities

The Heavy Civil Construction Project Manager, Underground Utilities role is onsite, based in North Denver, CO, with nationwide project travel approximately three out of four weeks each month. Compensation is $85,000–$130,000 annually, plus bonus eligibility. The role supports a contractor specializing in underground utilities, water, and sewer construction. The project manager leads projects from preconstruction through closeout, coordinating field and office teams to deliver work safely and within budget and schedule. The role manages project plans, costs, documentation, subcontractors, and customer communications across the project lifecycle.

What you'll do

• Manage underground utility, water, and sewer projects from preconstruction through closeout
• promote jobsite safety
• develop budgets, scopes, schedules, and execution plans
• review drawings, permits, and contracts
• coordinate with customers, engineers, field teams, and subcontractors
• lead preconstruction meetings
• manage subcontractor schedules, invoices, costs, and changes
• maintain documentation and monitor progress.
