The Registered Nurse, Youth Residential Program role is onsite in Cleveland, OH. Compensation starts at $36 per hour. The nurse supports Applewood Centers’ residential behavioral health program for children and adolescents. Under the Director of Nursing, the RN provides psychiatric nursing care and works with clients, caregivers, and a multidisciplinary team. Nursing assessment, education, care coordination, and documentation help address clients’ behavioral and physical health needs in the residential setting.

What you'll do

• Provide residential psychiatric nursing care within the scope of nursing practice
• collaborate with psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, therapists, case managers, clients, caregivers, and significant others
• provide behavioral health education and behavioral management strategies
• assess additional treatment needs and link clients with services
• address physical health, nutrition, medication education, and medication side effects, risks, and benefits
• provide community resources
• lead day-to-day department activities as shift charge nurse
• meet with clients for referrals and triage
• communicate and document observations and interventions.
