What you'll do

• Initiate and carry out the nursing process
• assess patients and plan, implement, and evaluate interventions
• provide patient education and direct care
• carry out physician orders, including administering medications, blood products, oxygen, and treatments
• manage therapeutic devices and medical equipment
• assess vital signs and other patient measures
• document care and changes in condition
• coordinate care with providers and hospital staff
• direct ancillary nursing staff
• perform quality-control checks
• collect specimens
• respond to emergencies and adverse reactions
• answer and screen telephone calls.

Why this role
