Associate Field Engineer

Job overview

The Associate Field Engineer role is based onsite in Lenexa, KS for a 6–12 month onboarding assignment, followed by entry and training in the Field Engineering program with eventual relocation. Compensation is $72,750–$97,750 per year. The role extends engineering services to sales and service centers and their end users. The position develops technical capability in engineered fluid-system solutions and supports client applications through technical guidance, design work, project support, and onsite troubleshooting. It contributes to product and service initiatives and helps address client needs and specifications.

What you'll do

• Provide technical support to inside and outside clients
• accompany sales on client visits
• present in sales and operations meetings
• track key-account opportunities and prepare or review quotes
• translate client applications into Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams by evaluating material compatibility, pressure, temperature, and flow
• review project bid packages and specifications
• create layouts, bills of materials, and assembly drawings using SolidWorks
• evaluate client fluid systems and report improvement opportunities
• recommend products for applications
• train and support sales and service centers
• collaborate with Field Engineers and provide feedback to factory personnel
• document opportunities in CRM
• participate in the Field Engineering program.
