Service Advisor

Job overview

The Service Advisor role is onsite in Rochester, NY. Compensation is $28–$35 per hour. The advisor supports MERJ Fleet Services’ heavy-duty diesel service operation and customer repair work. The advisor coordinates repair orders, estimates, schedules, customer approvals, and communication between customers and shop staff. Accurate documentation and follow-up help move repairs through the shop and keep customers informed.

What you'll do

• Create repair orders and document vehicle information and mechanical issues
• schedule work based on priorities and technician capacity
• communicate estimates, cost changes, and completion status to customers
• coordinate estimates with Parts and the shop manager
• provide inspection forms to mechanics
• track preventive-maintenance history and notify customers
• answer phones
• review work orders and repair stories
• process customer payments
• schedule bulk deliveries
• invoice third-party accounts
• coordinate sublet vendors.
