Machinist II

Job overview

The Machinist II role is onsite in Westminster, CO. Compensation is $28–$36 per hour. The machinist works in the machining department and reports to the Lead Machinist. The role exists to operate and program CNC and manual machinery and produce parts that meet drawing specifications and tolerances. It contributes to project completion by setting up complex operations, inspecting parts, maintaining equipment and records, and raising technical issues when needed.

What you'll do

• Operate CNC and manual machinery safely
• program CNC machines
• interpret complex machining blueprints
• set up and run complex operations on listed mills, lathes, and manual machines
• detect malfunctions and adjust controls and offsets without supervision
• inspect parts during and after production
• complete paperwork under standard procedures
• maintain a clean, organized, safe work area
• monitor job hours against estimates
• perform preventive maintenance
• provide direction to project coordinators, QA, engineering, and shop personnel as needed.
