The Radiology Technologist — Evenings role is onsite in Washington, DC; pay is $25.12–$40.19 per hour. Howard University Hospital is a teaching hospital on the campus of a Historically Black University, with a focus on patient-centered care, research, and learning. The technologist performs radiologic procedures to support diagnosis, evaluates image quality, and provides related patient care and education. The role contributes to safe, timely imaging through equipment operation, patient preparation, accurate records, and adherence to radiation safety principles.

What you'll do

• Operate and maintain imaging equipment
• obtain and digitize radiographs with correct patient data
• prepare patients and follow care and safety guidelines
• use appropriate technique and shielding in accordance with ALARA principles
• troubleshoot equipment
• maintain clean and safe work areas
• track patients and correct information errors
• stock procedure rooms
• assist with student training and in-service programs.
