Automotive Technician

The Automotive Technician role is onsite in Clarksville, TN, with compensation of $60,000–$120,000 per year based on flat-rate hours. Gary Mathews Motors’ busy service department maintains a steady volume of repair work for Jeep, Chrysler, Dodge, Ram, and Fiat vehicles. This role diagnoses, repairs, and services vehicles to manufacturer and dealership standards, helping customers receive accurate, quality repairs. The technician also documents findings, coordinates with Service Advisors and the Parts Department, and keeps current with technical updates and training.

What you'll do

• Diagnose and repair engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brake, HVAC, and drivability issues
• use factory diagnostic equipment and special service tools
• road-test vehicles
• perform customer-pay and warranty work to manufacturer specifications
• report findings to Service Advisors
• coordinate with the Parts Department
• document repairs
• participate in manufacturer training
• maintain a clean, safe work area.
