SOC Analyst - Tier 1

The SOC Analyst - Tier 1 role is onsite at Fort Bragg, NC. Compensation is not specified. Strategic Operational Solutions supports the U.S. Army Reserve Command Defensive Cyberspace Operations Mission Support Services program. As the first tier in the security operations workflow, the analyst monitors cyber defense telemetry, triages alerts, documents incidents, and escalates activity requiring deeper investigation. Accurate records and shift handoffs support operational reporting and coordinated response.

What you'll do

• Monitor SIEM alerts, sensor events, host detections, and approved watch queues
• triage events using approved playbooks and correlate basic evidence
• create tickets, categorize incidents, preserve artifacts, and update status
• escalate events to Tier 2 under documented thresholds
• communicate context during shift handoffs
• follow response procedures and maintain records
• support exercises and surge work within assigned qualifications and authority.
