Project Engineer — Solar & Battery Storage

The Project Engineer role is an onsite, full-time position in Durham, NC; compensation is not specified. Strata Solar develops, builds, and services utility-scale solar and storage systems. The role exists to coordinate engineering work so project deliverables are accurate, timely, and aligned with project requirements. It manages engineering budgets and schedules, coordinates internal and external contributors, and tracks technical documentation and field requests throughout project delivery.

What you'll do

• Coordinate design activities with internal personnel and external parties
• understand engineering impacts of interconnection, power purchase, and prime agreements
• conduct weekly engineering team meetings
• support project and client meetings
• interface with vendors
• develop and maintain engineering budgets
• assist with engineering scopes of work and design RFPs
• track subcontractor invoices and labor hours
• manage technical documentation and submittals
• manage field RFIs and ensure timely design responses.
