Cybersecurity Analyst

The Cybersecurity Analyst role is onsite in Durham, NC. Compensation is not specified. The analyst works with FastMed’s Information Systems team to safeguard information systems and sensitive data. The role identifies and addresses vulnerabilities, responds to security incidents, and supports security controls, compliance, and staff awareness to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of organizational information.

What you'll do

• Monitor network traffic and security alerts
• investigate and respond to incidents, breaches, and vulnerabilities
• perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing using vendor or third-party tools
• evaluate security controls and recommend improvements
• contribute to security policies and procedures
• educate staff and support awareness programs
• help manage firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and antivirus tools
• assist with security audits
• support adherence to HIPAA, PCI DSS, and applicable regulations
• document incidents and prepare management reports.

Why this role
