Buddy’s Speed World, the high-performance division of BMI Inc., builds and restores classic cars, hot rods, show cars, and performance vehicles. The technician fabricates and modifies vehicle components, installs performance systems, diagnoses mechanical and drivability issues, and performs suspension, steering, brake, drivetrain, wiring, testing, and tuning work. The role documents work, maintains a safe and organized workspace, and may mentor junior team members.

What you'll do

  • Fabricate and modify exhaust systems, intercooler piping, brackets, mounts, and roll cages
  • build and install performance systems
  • work on classic cars, hot rods, and performance vehicles
  • diagnose drivability, performance, and mechanical issues
  • perform suspension, steering, brake, and drivetrain upgrades
  • integrate wiring and aftermarket electronics
  • test and tune builds on the road and dyno
  • document work
  • maintain a clean, safe, organized workspace
  • mentor junior team members.
