AP Macroeconomics and AP Microeconomics Teacher

The AP Macroeconomics and AP Microeconomics Teacher role is onsite in Derby, CT, with pay of $30–$35 per hour. APEX Global Academy is seeking a teacher for in-person classes at its Derby campus. The teacher leads small-group economics classes, helps students understand core economic concepts, supports coursework and AP exam preparation, and monitors progress to strengthen students’ analytical thinking and readiness for advanced coursework and exams.

What you'll do

• Teach small-group AP Macroeconomics and/or AP Microeconomics classes
• explain economic concepts including supply and demand, market structures, elasticity, fiscal and monetary policy, GDP, inflation, and unemployment
• support coursework, practice problems, and AP exam preparation
• develop structured lessons aligned with the AP curriculum
• monitor student progress and provide feedback to students and staff
• and encourage critical thinking and real-world application of economic principles.

Why this role

Part-time, contract position. Sessions last approximately 1.5–2 hours and are scheduled Saturdays and/or Sundays between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. A bachelor’s degree in economics, business, education, or a related field is required.
