The Certified Veterinary Technician – Oncology - Sign on bonus! is an onsite role based in East Haddam, CT. Compensation is $25.00–$32.00/hour, and this role supports the Oncology Department at Pieper Memorial Veterinary Center, a VECCS Level I facility dedicated to making the community and its animals happier and healthier. This role exists to support advanced treatments and therapies for pets with complex medical needs. The technician works alongside expert oncologists to provide compassionate care and guidance to patients and their families, contributing to the team's goal of improving quality of life for pets.

What you'll do

• Support advanced oncology treatments and chemotherapy.
• Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, anesthesia, and patient restraint.
• Assist with scheduling, receiving, and treating patients.
• Maintain knowledge of sterilization techniques and veterinary equipment.
• Provide tableside assistance during procedures.
• Communicate effectively with clients regarding patient care.
