It supports departmental goals through staffing, budgeting, recruitment, training, performance evaluation, policy implementation, and quality improvement.

What you'll do

• Lead and guide staff
• establish working relationships with management, medical staff, and organizational personnel
• partner with department chairs on safety, quality, and patient satisfaction goals
• participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
• apply evidence-based practices and nursing standards
• manage budgets
• assist with clinical policies and procedures
• recruit, orient, schedule, train, and evaluate staff
• coordinate competency assessments and regulatory training.
