Precision Grinding and CNC Offset Technician — 2nd Shift

The Precision Grinding and CNC Offset Technician role is onsite in Sedalia, MO, at Gardner Denver. Compensation is $22.50 per hour. The position supports Ingersoll Rand’s Industrial Technologies and Services business, producing blowers and compressors to customer requirements. The technician grinds and assembles components to precise specifications, balances rotating assemblies, and uses CNC program knowledge to maintain production quality. Accurate measurement, blueprint interpretation, and attention to safety and defects help deliver reliable equipment.

What you'll do

• Operate grinding equipment to hold ±0.0002-inch tolerances on outside diameters
• balance rotating assemblies to specification
• safely use forklifts, overhead cranes, and walk-behind lifts
• assemble equipment to blueprints and customer specifications using correct torque values
• measure, document, and verify dimensions
• read CNC code, make offsets, and perform minor program edits
• identify quality defects and unsafe conditions
• maintain a clean work area.
