What you'll do

• Provide visualization of the operative site
• assist with hemostasis and closure of body planes
• select and apply wound dressings
• assist in securing drainage systems
• participate in volume replacement or auto-transfusion techniques as appropriate
• assist with patient positioning
• may prepare skin, insert a bladder catheter, act as a scrub technician per staffing needs, or retrieve patients from pre-operative areas
• maintain confidentiality and professional communication.
