Library Assistant

The Library Assistant role is an onsite, full-time position serving branches of the Genesee District Library System in Flint, MI; pay is $20.50 per hour. What you'll do

• Provide courteous public service to patrons and direct service to walk-ins
• place and receive telephone calls
• perform computer functions, including internet instruction
• assist with interloan functions
• maintain library materials and files in an orderly manner
• assist with routine branch duties
• develop working knowledge of library equipment and services
• may temporarily take charge of a branch or serve as a substitute.
