Breast Ultrasound Technician

The role contributes to patient-centered care through clear procedure explanations, accurate imaging and documentation, and coordination with women’s health and care teams.

What you'll do

• Perform breast ultrasound examinations and procedures as ordered by licensed providers
• select appropriate imaging settings and position patients
• operate, calibrate, and maintain ultrasound equipment
• review patient history, prior imaging, and provider notes
• explain procedures and prepare patients
• document findings and interactions in EHR, EMR, and PACS
• coordinate follow-up with Women’s Health and care teams
• follow HIPAA, infection control, and applicable imaging regulations
• participate in quality improvement and community health education activities.

Why this role
