The Nursing Assistant – Medical-Surgical Department, Night Shift role is onsite in Lawton, OK, with pay of $17–$20 per hour. The night shift runs 7:30 p.m.–8 a.m. on a block schedule and supports the Indian Health Service’s Lawton Indian Hospital Medical-Surgical Department. The assistant supports patient visits and clinical teams by gathering patient information, taking vital signs, coordinating appointments and telemedicine, assisting with screening and referrals, and documenting care-related information in the electronic health record.

What you'll do

• Interview patients and take vital signs
• secure medical information for visits
• schedule appointments and make immunization-check calls
• collect GPRA information
• provide COVID screening support for outpatient clinics
• check and replenish supplies
• arrange telemedicine visits
• assist with referrals and track outside-provider reports
• coordinate with screening, public health nursing, pharmacy, clinic staff, and consultants
• document in the electronic health record and notify providers and healthcare team members as needed.
