Float Medical Assistant

Job overview

The Float Medical Assistant role is onsite, floating among clinics in McKinney, Plano, and Frisco, Texas. Pay is $20–$22 per hour. The role supports Direct Orthopedic Care’s orthopedic providers and clinic teams.

What you'll do

• Support an orthopedic provider with guest care
• handle insurance authorizations
• provide backup front-desk and clinical support
• prepare durable medical equipment and in-office procedures
• assist with surgery information, medical-record documentation, chart preparation, records requests, and obtaining lab, imaging, hospital, and referral information
• check in guests, verify insurance, and collect copays
• protect confidential health information and follow HIPAA requirements.
