Staff Accountant

The Staff Accountant role is onsite in Tustin, California, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Pay is $32 per hour. The role provides accounting and administrative support for Hurtt Family Health Clinic through a shared services agreement with Orange County Rescue Mission. The accountant maintains accurate financial records through reconciliations, journal entries, grant tracking, invoicing, and audit support. The role also cross-trains to back up accounting-clerk functions and helps ensure timely, reliable financial operations for the clinic.

What you'll do

• Reconcile balance sheet and bank accounts
• prepare and enter journal entries
• prepare grant and service invoices
• track grant expenses and supporting documentation
• audit petty cash
• update gift-in-kind schedules and inventory values
• assist with external audits
• cross-train on vendor records, payroll and other checks, cash receipts, deposits, credit card purchases, accounts payable, and annual 1099s.
