Community Health Navigator

Job overview

The Community Health Navigator role is onsite in Los Angeles, CA; pay is $25–$30 per hour. The position supports the Compton Community Health Professions Partnership by connecting community members, health systems, and educational partners. The navigator helps community members access health, education, and social services while providing culturally responsive health education and career pathway support. The role coordinates referrals, follow-up, peer support, and cross-sector collaboration to advance community health and workforce development goals.

What you'll do

• Conduct in-person and digital outreach
• assist with scheduling, referrals, warm handoffs, and follow-up
• facilitate health education workshops
• support healthcare career exploration and mentorship
• provide peer support and service navigation
• coordinate with providers and education partners
• document services and outcomes
• help organize forums, training sites, and clinical rotations.
