Diet Technician

The Diet Technician role is onsite in Nags Head, NC. Pay starts at $25 per hour based on experience. The position supports residents in long-term care facilities and works under the supervision of a Registered Dietitian. The technician helps plan and deliver meals that meet residents’ dietary needs and physician orders. Accurate dietary records, safe food handling, and coordination with the dietary team support residents’ nutrition care and experience.

What you'll do

• Assist with planning, preparing, and delivering meals according to individual dietary needs and physician orders
• collaborate with the dietary team on residents’ nutritional plans
• follow food safety, sanitation, and therapeutic diet guidelines
• maintain records of dietary requirements and adjustments
• interact with residents, staff, and guests
• clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and dining areas.

Why this role

Requires an associate’s degree in nutrition or dietetics or Certified Dietary Manager credential, plus 1–3 years of long-term care dietary experience in a consultant or supervisory role. Registration by the Commission on Dietetic Registration is preferred. COVID-19 vaccination policy compliance is required.
