What you'll do

• Serve as the onsite DB2 administration contact
• translate logical data models into physical DB2 designs
• create and modify database objects and manage schema changes
• design and manage indexes and table spaces
• tune SQL and troubleshoot performance
• monitor database health and schedule maintenance
• execute DB2 utilities
• manage storage and VSAM datasets
• develop JCL and REXX automation
• provide production support and root-cause analysis
• administer DB2 security
• support audits, compliance, and disaster recovery
• coordinate with development, QA, DevOps, offshore teams, and vendors
• document designs and operating procedures.
