Patient Care Assistant – Day Shift

The Patient Care Assistant – Day Shift role is onsite in Round Top, TX, with day shifts from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Compensation is described as competitive hourly pay negotiated individually with each applicant. The role supports The Prairie Recovery Center, a residential substance abuse treatment facility that also serves patients with co-occurring mental health issues. The assistant provides continuous care, supervision, interaction, and role modeling as part of the patient treatment team. The role helps maintain a safe therapeutic environment and supports patients’ daily needs and participation in treatment activities.

What you'll do

• Maintain a safe, orderly, and therapeutic environment
• assist patients with activities of daily living and health routines using therapeutic communication
• conduct and document safety rounds
• facilitate participation in therapeutic activities and groups
• implement crisis-management skills as directed by licensed staff
• and help clean common areas.
