CNC Machinist

Job overview

The CNC Machinist role is onsite in Chanhassen, MN. Compensation is $28–$34 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience. Apex Water and Process provides chemistry, equipment, automation, and services to help industries address water and process challenges and improve efficiency and sustainability. The machinist sets up and operates CNC milling equipment to produce custom plastic and metal components. The role contributes to product quality and manufacturing efficiency by interpreting prints and programs, adjusting CNC programs, inspecting work, and identifying process and cost improvements.

What you'll do

• Machine plastic and metal parts to print and program specifications
• edit CNC programs
• estimate labor hours for new parts and identify cost reductions
• perform secondary machining and simple equipment maintenance
• inspect work using inspection equipment
• develop and approve work instructions as required
• cross-train and assist with training
• maintain a clean work area and follow safety policies.
