Inside Sales Representative – Industrial Equipment

Job overview

The Inside Sales Representative role is onsite in Porterville, CA. Compensation is $25–$32 per hour, based on experience, plus commission on sales originated and closed. The role supports Thermal Dynamics’ sales of steam traps, valves, pumps, and related equipment. The representative manages inbound customer inquiries from initial qualification through quoting and order follow-through. By maintaining a sales pipeline and coordinating with order entry, purchasing, the shop, manufacturers, and distributors, the role helps customers obtain suitable products and service work.

What you'll do

• Answer and qualify inbound sales calls, emails, and web inquiries
• build product and standard service quotes using CRM and pricing guidelines
• follow up on open quotes and close sales
• maintain accurate CRM pipeline records
• recommend replacement parts, upgrades, and service opportunities
• coordinate lead times and delivery with order entry, purchasing, and the shop
• work with manufacturers and distributors on pricing and availability
• hand off larger opportunities to outside sales and support them as needed.
