The Maintenance Technician role is onsite in Birmingham, AL. Compensation is not specified. This role exists to keep manufacturing, material-handling, and facility equipment reliable and operating efficiently. Through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, operator training, and work-order and spare-parts management, the technician helps minimize downtime and support safe plant operations.

What you'll do

• Perform preventive maintenance, diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and CNC systems on manufacturing machinery, material-handling equipment, cranes, forklifts, dust collection systems, and the physical plant. Train operators on preventive maintenance
• maintain work orders and spare-parts inventory
• lay out, install, and start up project work
• complete assignments promptly
• follow lockout/tagout and Nortrak safety, quality, and environmental procedures.

Why this role

Work includes electrical systems up to 480 VAC and 250 VDC, CNC equipment, hydraulics, and outdoor work from man lifts in rain or snow. High school diploma or GED, vocational technical training, three years of maintenance experience, and forklift or crane certification are preferred.
