The Power Electronics Engineer role is onsite in Los Angeles, CA. The base salary range is $105,000–$200,000 per year, plus equity. K2 Space is developing and mass-producing high-power satellite platforms for missions from low Earth orbit to deep space. The engineer develops and qualifies spacecraft power electronics, taking flight hardware from concept through flight. The work contributes to high-capability satellite power systems by designing devices, verifying performance, and coordinating interfaces with spacecraft loads and partners or customers.

What you'll do

• Develop power electronics for large spacecraft with 20 kW to 100 kW power systems
• serve as responsible engineer for flight hardware from conception through flight
• qualify designs through vibration, shock, thermal, and thermal-vacuum testing
• work with partners and customers to define interfaces between power systems and spacecraft loads
• develop models to analyze and verify power-system performance.
