What you'll do

• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic technical procedures utilizing radiopharmaceuticals in a careful, compassionate and respectful manner. Use radioactive isotopes to perform organ and body scans. Prepare radioactive isotopes for administration to patients in accordance with physicians' orders
• Administer and record dosages as well. Perform diagnostic studies on patients using scanners or scintillation cameras to detect radiation emitted and to produce image of organ on photographic film. Position patients and adjust immobilization devices. Compassionately explain procedures to patients and address concerns. Demonstrate competency in various scans (Biliary, Brain Spect, Bone Scan, Cardiac, etc.). Monitor, record and communicate utilizing computerized documentation (MEDITECH). Assist with transporting patients as needed.

Education

Graduate of a Nuclear Medicine Technologist program (AMA-Approved School)

Experience

Minimum of one (1) year of recent experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist preferred
