The Executive Director, Law Firm Operations role is onsite in Vienna, VA. Compensation is $165,000–$250,000 per year. Reporting to the Executive Committee, the Executive Director oversees administrative operations and fiscal management. The role coordinates firmwide planning, budgets, reporting, and implementation of committee decisions while supporting administrative managers and staff.

What you'll do

• Attend Executive Committee and Partnership meetings
• prepare agendas and minutes
• direct or assist with financial reporting and administrative policy
• oversee non-legal administrative managers and staff
• advise legal personnel managers and Marketing
• formulate annual capital and operating budgets
• prepare and interpret management reports
• support strategic planning
• monitor insurance and inform the Executive Committee of significant events.

Why this role

Requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; a CPA license, which may be inactive; and at least 5–7 years of accounting and reporting experience. The firm plans to hire with overlap for training before the current director’s planned Spring 2027 retirement.
