The Lead Carpenter, Remodeling & Door-Window Installation role is onsite in Winnetka, IL, with full-time, year-round work and pay of $35–$42 per hour based on experience. The position supports Post Services Inc.’s residential remodeling work in Chicago and the North Shore, including its expanding exterior door and window installation business. The role performs hands-on carpentry and remodeling while helping maintain quality, solve field problems, and support a Carpenter Helper. It contributes to project delivery through accurate installation, jobsite coordination, and communication with project managers, with potential to grow into field leadership.

What you'll do

• Perform residential remodeling and carpentry on kitchen, bathroom, and whole-home projects. Install exterior entry doors and windows, cabinets, interior doors, baseboards, trim, and millwork
• complete framing and carpentry modifications
• and handle punch-list and warranty work. Read plans, measurements, and project specifications
• troubleshoot existing conditions and installation issues
• maintain clean, organized, and protected jobsites
• and communicate progress, materials, and site conditions to project managers. Work alongside and help train a Carpenter Helper, maintain company tools and installation equipment, and follow quality-control and installation procedures. The posting seeks 5+ years of residential remodeling or carpentry experience and strong finish-carpentry skills
• exterior door and window installation experience is strongly preferred.
