Compensation is $110,000–$160,000 per year. The role supports the U.S. Coast Guard Ship Design Team. The engineer leads electronics systems integration work for shipboard applications, helping design, assess, and document complex systems. The work supports ship design by evaluating system performance, addressing cybersecurity risks, and reviewing technical specifications and changes.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, test, and supervise implementation of shipboard electronic equipment
• analyze machinery control, communications, sensors, alarms, navigation, and related C5ISR systems
• analyze and mitigate cybersecurity risks
• develop system documentation and ship specifications
• prepare and evaluate technical reports
• review effects of electronics changes on system performance
• review design specifications, test requirements, departures from specification, waiver requests, and engineering changes.
