Auto Body Technician

The Auto Body Technician is an onsite role based in Rochester, NY. Compensation is $65,000 – $165,000+ per year, and this position supports the collision and glass repair operations at Gerber Collision & Glass. The role exists to provide an exceptional customer experience through the meticulous assessment and quality repair of vehicles to restore them to pre-accident condition. The technician is responsible for disassembling, repairing, and reassembling vehicles while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.

What you'll do

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW plan
• plan repair work and prepare cost estimates
• use tools such as cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers, and pliers
• hammer out dents and apply filler resins
• realign car chassis and frames
• remove and replace damaged sections and interior parts
• weld and attach parts
• prepare and repaint vehicles
• inspect vehicles after repair.
