Utility Locator

Job overview

The Utility Locator role is onsite in Valparaiso, IN, and pays $18 per hour. USIC provides underground utility damage prevention and infrastructure services for telecommunications, electric, gas, water, and sewer utilities and municipalities nationwide. The locator works independently in the field to identify and mark underground utilities, helping protect infrastructure and support public safety. The role uses company-provided vehicles and locating systems to search assigned areas, document findings, and provide clear mark-outs for excavators or property owners.

What you'll do

• Safely locate underground telecommunications, electric power, cable TV, gas, water, and sewer utilities
• search designated areas, accurately mark utility locations, complete documentation, and photograph each locate.
