Facilities Maintenance Technician

Job overview

The Facilities Maintenance Technician role is field-based, serving client facilities primarily in the Warsaw, Indiana area. Pay is $25–$28 per hour based on experience. Commercial Builders & Maintenance supports commercial and healthcare facilities, and the position is not required to report to the Fort Wayne office each morning. The technician handles varied preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair needs to help clients keep buildings safe, reliable, and operating properly. The role works independently in the field while coordinating with CBM management, subcontractors, and client representatives as needed.

What you'll do

• Perform preventive and routine maintenance at commercial and healthcare facilities
• troubleshoot and repair building and mechanical systems
• perform general plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and building repairs within applicable qualifications and licensing requirements
• inspect facilities and identify potential problems
• read schematics, technical diagrams, and blueprints
• respond to service requests
• coordinate with management, subcontractors, and client representatives
• document completed work and outstanding needs
• work safely in occupied facilities.
