The Patient Observation Assistant role is onsite at Lehigh Valley Health Network in Pottsville, PA. Pay is $17.00 per hour. What you'll do

• Continuously observe assigned patients visually and audibly
• complete observation reports at established intervals
• remain at the bedside unless relieved
• redirect at-risk behavior and promptly summon nursing staff for assistance or concerning behavior
• report safety hazards and participate in patient-safety handoffs
• assist with calming or reorienting patients, room order, diagnostic transport, meal setup, positioning, and safe ambulation as directed.

Why this role

Full-time shifts are 12 hours (7:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m. or 7:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m.); part-time shifts are 8 hours. Prior direct patient experience and CPR/BLS certification are required.
