What you'll do

• Assess preoperative patients
• verify operative and informed consents
• record vital signs
• initiate IVs
• explain procedures
• assess postoperative condition and monitor vital signs
• document findings
• answer patient questions
• report condition changes
• assist in the operating room when needed
• supervise pre- and postoperative LPN and surgery CNA staff
• discharge postoperative patients
• participate in quality assurance and infection control.
