The Project Engineer – Manufacturing Processes is an onsite, full-time role in Addison, IL. Compensation is $100,000–$135,000 per year. The position supports new product development, manufacturing improvements, and operational growth for the client’s engineering team. The engineer works with operations, tooling, quality, sourcing, and vendors to develop manufacturing processes and improve efficiency, cost, quality, and lead times. The role translates customer requirements into product and process plans, troubleshoots production issues, and helps implement improvements and equipment.

What you'll do

• Review customer blueprints, specifications, and proposals
• develop product drawings, models, engineering methods, and manufacturing requirements
• evaluate materials, labor, tooling, and equipment
• troubleshoot processes and improve machine performance
• support vendors and equipment implementation
• collaborate on process flow diagrams, PFMEAs, and control plans
• use value stream mapping, cycle-time analysis, process mapping, and Lean methods
• analyze production data
• develop standard operating procedures.

Why this role
