Adjunct Instructor of Chemistry

The Adjunct Instructor of Chemistry role is onsite in Redding, CA. Compensation is $26 per hour. The Science & Mathematics Department is building an adjunct instructor pool for chemistry courses serving pre-nursing, biology, kinesiology, and engineering students. The instructor delivers introductory or general chemistry lecture and/or laboratory courses in person and uses Canvas to manage courses and course content. The role supports students’ academic learning; an appointment in one semester does not guarantee an appointment in a later semester.

What you'll do

• Teach introductory or general chemistry lecture and/or laboratory courses in person
• use Canvas for course management and content delivery
• work with a diverse student body
• maintain confidentiality and demonstrate organizational, communication, and customer-service skills
• support overflow needs of other departments as needed.
