Project Manager / Construction Inspector

The Project Manager / Construction Inspector role is onsite in Syracuse, NY, and pays $50–$60 per hour, depending on experience. This part-time position supports capital improvement and renovation projects in Laland Baptiste’s Construction Management department. Laland Baptiste provides construction management and consulting services throughout the construction life cycle. The role oversees and inspects construction work to help ensure projects meet approved plans, specifications, safety requirements, schedules, and quality expectations. It coordinates contractors and project stakeholders, tracks project controls and documentation, and supports issue resolution, punch lists, and closeout.

What you'll do

• Oversee and inspect construction activities for compliance with drawings, specifications, and contract requirements
• monitor contractor performance, progress, and workmanship
• coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, engineers, and stakeholders
• conduct site inspections and identify deficiencies
• review construction documents, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and payment applications
• monitor schedules, budgets, and milestones
• attend progress meetings
• monitor site safety and OSHA compliance
• prepare reports and documentation
• assist with punch lists and closeout.
