Podiatry Medical Assistant

What you'll do

• Prepare rooms and patients for examinations and procedures
• obtain and document medical histories, medications, allergies, and vital signs
• assist with examinations, treatments, minor procedures, and wound care
• prepare instruments and supplies
• apply and change dressings and support post-procedure instructions
• prepare instruments for sterilization
• document in the EMR
• communicate with pharmacies, laboratories, providers, and patients
• monitor supplies
• follow OSHA, HIPAA, and infection-control requirements.
