Apartment Maintenance Technician

Job overview

The Apartment Maintenance Technician role is onsite at North Chase Apartments in Wilmington, NC. Compensation is $19–$23 per hour. The position supports maintenance at the residential property. The technician handles property repairs and upkeep, prioritizes work orders, and helps prepare vacant and turn units so the property’s maintenance needs are addressed. The role also participates in emergency on-call coverage.

What you'll do

• Attend the morning meeting and pick up grounds
• complete assigned work orders by priority and return signed work orders with time and supply notes
• report supply needs and confirm invoices
• inspect vacant units and create punch lists
• coordinate turn-unit work with vendors
• perform extermination work as needed
• check fire escape routes and safety equipment and maintain safety-check and preventive-maintenance records
• deliver notices and correspondence
• perform property maintenance including carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, sheet rock, flooring, cabinet, and counter repairs
• participate in emergency on-call coverage.
