The CNC Machinist, Lathes and Mills — 2nd Shift role is onsite in Tempe, AZ; compensation is not specified. The position supports NMG Aerospace’s production of complex parts with close tolerances. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 2:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. The machinist sets up CNC lathes and/or mills and produces parts to blueprint requirements with little or no supervision. The role verifies quality through inspection and documentation, optimizes production while maintaining standards, and works with Engineering and Quality representatives to ensure products meet requirements.

What you'll do

• Set up machine tooling and fixtures using engineering setup drawings
• establish machine origins and machine first parts to blueprint requirements
• inspect and verify parts
• run production parts
• establish production standards and optimize output while maintaining quality
• perform in-process inspection and benching
• complete inspection data, SPC charts, and certified operator documentation
• follow safety standards and maintain housekeeping
• record work in ERP software
• collaborate with Engineering and Quality
• support Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
