What you'll do

• Design and evaluate ground-support patterns using empirical, numerical, and analytical methods
• inspect working areas and document corrosion mapping, ground-support QA/QC, and re-entry inspections
• work with Mining Engineers on mine plans
• manage microseismic-system expansion and calibration
• plan and track ground-support rehabilitation
• review mine plans for geotechnical concerns
• update the life-of-mine stress model
• assist with instrumentation and telemetry
• analyze and report monitoring data
• coordinate geotechnical projects
• develop and present workforce training
• assist with underground mapping and core logging.

Why this role

Requires a bachelor’s degree in Geological Engineering or equivalent, 3–5 years of operational rock mechanics experience, and proficiency with Rocscience software; underground experience is preferred.
