Business Development Representative

Job overview

The Business Development Representative role is based in the office with direct customer contact in the listing location of 60147, IL. Compensation is $90,000–$110,000 per year. The role supports Richardson Electronics’ Product Management team in validating market demand and identifying opportunities for products and contract manufacturing services. The representative executes targeted outreach, develops early-stage customer relationships, and generates qualified leads and market intelligence. This work helps internal teams assess opportunities and advance go-to-market activities.

What you'll do

• Execute outreach campaigns to new and inactive customers
• coordinate with Product Management and Marketing on go-to-market activities
• qualify leads from marketing, trade shows, and inbound interest
• help identify opportunities for new products and contract manufacturing services
• promote complementary offerings
• process RFPs, quotes, and orders
• support field visits to strategic accounts
• collaborate with Customer Service, Purchasing, Product Managers, and Credit
• analyze account performance and customer behavior
• collect competitive intelligence
• support reports, forecasts, and budgets
• coordinate responses to technical inquiries.
