What you'll do

• Review psychotropic medications in accordance with CMS guidelines
• make medication recommendations to onsite medical staff and follow up on effectiveness
• provide guidance to facility staff about psychiatric illnesses
• meet monthly with a supervising psychiatrist for chart review and education or guidance
• communicate with patients, families or responsible parties, facility staff, and attending physicians
• address patient needs in a timely, customer-oriented manner
• maintain confidentiality and professionalism
• work collaboratively across the organization.
